In Firefox 1.0, default security preference is set to ban 'alert window' and 'copy to clipboard'.
In this case, you should change those settings. Type "about:config" in your firefox address bar, then browser shows list of your current setting. Near the end of that list, you can find the row named as signed⋅applets⋅codebase
